About the event

Sharing songs & prayers woven from my own experiences of surviving, healing & thriving through experiences of violence.

A space to receive the medicine of song, share in songs & raise awareness of the systemic issues surrounding violence against women in girls + the incredible work of The Womens Centre Cornwall acting nationally for equality & safety for women.

Amongst their work The Womens Centre Cornwall host the Reclaim the Night vigil & march annually in Newquay (~ the event is a vigil to honour the lives lost to violence in the UK & the march radically reclaims spaces of safety for women in a sick society that places blame on victims & allows perpetrators to walk freely again & again & again.

~ "Too many of us have been impacted in some way by violence against women and girls. You may be living with the affects of your own experiences or be worried about someone you care about.  Women and girls should not be forced to live under an unofficial curfew, constantly changing our behaviour in an attempt to keep ourselves safe.  As the End Violence Against Women Coalition say: A different world is possible. Together we can be a powerful force for change by creating communities, having our voices heard and refusing to accept the realities in which we live."

The Reclaim our Voice event will raise funds to host an incredible group of all womens drummers to be at the march in November to help us raise our vibration & make our stand ~ Our target is £300 ~ we thank-you for supporting this event & the act of reclamation for women of the Earth & creating a different world, a new world.

There will be cacao & cakes on sale for the evening. Wild Medicina cacao supports a project supporting women in Mexico to embody their reclaimation.
